Soo Kyung Park — ViolinistSoo Kyung Park was born in Seoul, Korea, and was brought up in California until the age of seven. She began playing the piano at two and a half and performed in small recitals from an early age. At the age of twelve, inspired by Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, she began studying the violin.She studied at the Moscow Central Music School with Zoya Makhtina and at the Moscow Conservatory with Ara Bogdanyan. In the UK, she continued her studies at the Royal College of Music, London, with Dr. Felix Andrievsky and Alexander Rozhdestvensky, and later completed an Artist Diploma at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with Gillian Findlay.Based in London, Soo has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Moscow, London and across Europe, with a particular passion for chamber music and violin and piano repertoire. She is also developing repertoire with harp and organ.She has been described as:“Soo Kyung is a highly professional, advanced violinist, having a broad spectrum of techniques and innately beautiful sound.
